Why We Built This Site
Missouri gives the public broad access to many government records through the Sunshine Law, including RSMo 610.011 and the custodian-response rules in RSMo 610.023. The hard part is figuring out which Crawford County office holds the file you want. The Circuit Clerk handles Circuit Court case files, including civil, domestic, probate, criminal, traffic, small claims, juvenile when public, paternity, child-support, and protection-order records. The Sheriff manages jail and law-enforcement records, while the Recorder of Deeds handles marriage licenses and marriage records. Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
